Common questions

The film look can't be changed after I take a photo — is that a bug?

No, that's the point. In Surface Camera the film stock is the photograph — it's locked when you press the shutter, like real film. After capture you can adjust Exposure, Contrast, Blacks, Whites, Grain, Halation, and Temp, plus crop, but you can't restyle a photo to a different stock.

Where are my photos saved?

Into a "Surface Camera" album in your device's Photos library. They're yours — Surface has no cloud of its own. If you use iCloud Photos, they sync through your own Apple account.

How do I restore a subscription on a new device?

Open Settings inside the app and tap Restore Purchase. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you subscribed with.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your iPhone, open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or visit apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
